Actually, it all started much earlier. At the Weihrerhof, we were often among the first to test new hotel tools. But too often the result was the same. Designed for big hotel chains, missing the reality of small family-run places.
Then came the pandemic. A lot of waiting. A lot of reflecting. And at some point an idea.
Why not build something ourselves? A software that does exactly what we need. Nothing more, nothing less.
And so Qualityfriend was born.
A digital tool that helps us with all the little things behind the scenes. Shift planning, housekeeping, maintenance, handovers, recruiting, vouchers. Everything in one place, simple and clear. Today it even sells our gift vouchers.
What makes it special? Qualityfriend is open source. The base version is free so other small hotels can benefit too.
Because what began as a personal need quickly became a heartfelt project.
