Yes. The pool is always open to children. The saunas are for guests aged 16+, except for the child-friendly sauna time (2:00–3:30 p.m.).

Yes, a short cold-water dip is possible when conditions are safe. After the Boat House sauna, some guests enjoy a slow, conscious immersion, always at their own pace.
Around Lago di Costalovara you’ll find gentle winter trails, easy snowshoe routes, and nearby cross-country skiing on the Renon plateau. The snow draws you outside, the SeaSpa welcomes you back into warmth. Some guests even end the day with a mindful cold-water dip in the lake.
A lake in winter offers quiet, space, and a gentler rhythm. When Lago di Costalovara freezes and the forest crackles under fresh snow, a rare stillness settles in. Peaceful walks, a sauna overlooking the ice, morning mist on the water – winter becomes a moment of pause.

Our Location – Right on the lake
Weihrerhof is situated on Lake Wolfsgruben, above Bolzano, on the sunny Ritten plateau in South Tyrol. Surrounded by forest and calm – yet easy to reach.
About 30 minutes total: 12 mins by cable car, 5 mins by car, plus a bit of transfer time.
Right by the lake, surrounded by nature. No through traffic, just quiet trails, bathing spots and lots of space to unwind.
Yes. Take the Ritten cable car from Bolzano to Oberbozen, then the Ritten railway to Wolfsgruben. From there, it’s a 10-minute walk to the hotel.
There are some guesthouses within walking distance. The centre of Oberbozen is about a 30-minute walk or just a few minutes by car or with the Ritten railway – there you’ll find various shops for your daily needs. The Weihrerhof itself enjoys a peaceful and private location – right on the lakeshore.
Weihrerhof is located at 1,200 metres above sea level, right by the lake – perfect for summer freshness, ice bathing or skating. The hotel is surrounded by about 100,000 m² of natural grounds – with woods, meadows and plenty of space to breathe. Hiking trails start right at the doorstep, and the climate is pleasantly fresh – with lots of sun and peace.
