Our lake tales the blog
Tales and moments, mysticism and magic
History or stories? Dream or reality? The boundaries between reality and fiction blur almost imperceptibly. The cuckoo murmurs, the pine whispers, the little brook gurgles. And they all tell stories of their experiences and fantasies. Around the Wolfsgrubner Lake.
What changes and what stays the same
Winter works at the Weihrerhof: mindful renewal by the lake
KlausWhen the snow falls gently and the lake lies still, it’s time for quiet change. At the Weihrerhof, transformation never means noise, it means thoughtfulness.
New suites, natural materials, barrier-free design
Two of our suites are getting a fresh new look, inspired by the forest, the water and the calm that surrounds us. They are being redesigned with accessibility in mind, using local elm wood, triple-glazed windows for more silence and warmth, and natural fabrics that invite you to breathe.
The pool, too, is being softly renewed, ready for the first swim beneath the open sky.

Quiet retreats & a new look for the bar
Two relaxation rooms in the SeaSpa are turning into cosy nests, soft, warm, serene.
And the bar? It’s getting a new outfit, refined with hay from our own field and alpine grass wallpaper from Organoid.
As always, we preserve what exists and complement it carefully. We use only materials from nature, crafted by local artisans, all from the Ritten.

A tree for new beginnings – the New Year’s lottery
At the turn of the year, our guests took part in the traditional Weihrerhof guessing game. The winner will plant a young tree with us in the forest next door – a quiet symbol of new beginnings, rest and growth.
Alongside this, we raised a heartwarming €2,000 in our New Year’s lottery to support a local farming family here on the Ritten.

Quiet time that matters. The Peter Pan project
Last November, we were once again able to host five families through the Peter Pan children’s cancer support network – giving them time to pause, breathe and recover by the lake.
Time that gently heals. And time that matters.

The lake is calling. Season starts April 30
That’s when we open our doors again – for stillness, for lightness, for simply being.
For summer, the South Tyrolean way.
