Low stratus and sunshine

Especially over the southern valleys, low stratus will persist at first, generally breaking up by around midday. Away from these areas, conditions will be fairly sunny with some high cloud.
The southern side of the Alps will remain under a weak influence of high pressure within a westerly upper-level flow.
Temperatures will rise to around 2° in the Wipptal and up to 7° in the southern parts of the region.

Thursday will often start cloudy, but from around midday sunshine will break through from the west. On Friday, clouds will dominate, with sunshine appearing only locally. In the evening, first light precipitation is possible in southern areas. Saturday will be very cloudy, with some precipitation affecting the southern parts of the region. On Sunday, dense cloud will persist, with light rain or snow falling in places.
